How does it work?

A lot of researchers are working hard on several aspects to prevent the effects of the COVID-19 pandemics, such as treatment, disease detection, and development of vaccines. There will also be a great rise in footfall of passengers at railway stations and airports. Hence, UV disinfection systems have come as a helpful technology to help control the infection. Like x-ray machines, this tunnel system is used to disinfect the fomites at airports and railway stations. It has multiple TUV bulbs that illuminate each area in sq. m. for up to 8 seconds. These bulbs are evenly placed on all four sides.

 

Thin acrylic curtains are placed on both entry and exit points to keep the UVC light inside the conveyor. For additional disinfection, sanitizer spray is also used by the authorities.  These solutions work really well against COVID-19 and they are also used as secondary disinfectants.
